The Conservation at Work Landowner Day was hosted in collaboration with Grootvadersbosch Conservancy, a member of C@W. Grootvadersbosch Conservancy is highly regarded in the conservation landscape and was the first conservancy to be registered in the Western Cape.
The day consisted of informative presentations and group discussions on the conservation and landscape restoration being conducted in the conservancy. Activities of the day included an excursion into a river system that has been restored by implementing an alien clearing management programme that includes restoration with the goal to improve river health. Those that attended enjoyed a walk through the ancient Grootvadersbosch forest experiencing the unique biodiversity of this biome.
