Cape Nature /C@W/WWF Awards Evening 2015 – Outshoorn

The Annual Cape Nature Stewardship Awards Evening for the Karoo Region was held on 21 October 2015 at Surval Boutique Olive Estate in Outshoorn. Recognition was given to landowners and conservancies for achievement in conservation. This region offers exceptional and very unique challenges for landowners and this evening was held to show appreciation to those who excel in their conservation effort.

River Restoration Day

The Western Cape region faced quite a year in 2023, with extreme weather events leaving a lasting impact. Among the areas hit was the Botriver region in the Overberg. The river’s relentless force eroded its banks, wreaking havoc on infrastructure, croplands, riverbanks and triggering landslides along the hillsides. These natural events pose significant challenges for local communities, leaving landowners grappling with the aftermath and seeking assistance.
